Every device connected to the public Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods, e.g. 127.0.0.1. Knowing the current IP Address of your home computer can be helpful when troubleshooting an issue. This is a common request of our Support Department when handling certain support requests.
